Bradley Beal Ruled Out Saturday

The Washington Wizards will have to find a way to replace Bradley Beal’s production, as he has been ruled out Saturday night against the Phoenix Suns. Beal is reportedly dealing with a back injury; however, he also recently returned from a hip injury that kept him out of action for five games. It was also noted that Daniel Gafford will be on a minutes restriction.

Jerome Robinson started at shooting guard for three of Beal’s aforementioned absences, with Raul Neto and Garrison Mathews each starting a game as well. Robinson has since been waived, so who starts will come down to Neto and Mathews. Mathews put up 0 points and 0 FanDuel Fantasy Points in his start, going 0-4 from three-point range. Making the 22.8 FanDuel Fantasy Points that Neto put up in his start look like All-NBA material.

Neto has a $3,800 salary on the late-slate at FanDuel, whereas Mathews’ is $3,600. Overall, Neto has been more productive than Mathews, putting up 16.8 FanDuel Fantasy Points per game, compared to 10.8 from Mathews.

The betting market has no confidence in the Wizards without Beal, betting them down to +13 underdogs. The total has also been bought down to 225 at FanDuel Sportsbook.
