Celtics Set to Return to Practice After Possible COVID-19 Exposure
The Boston Celtics have had to deal with a possible COVID-19 outbreak within their team as multiple players went into isolation in response to either the league’s contact tracing protocol or a positive COVID-19 test result.
It is not clear which players might have been impacted, but the threat was enough to postpone Wednesday’s game against the Orlando Magic. Boston is expected to return to practice on Thursday. Both teams are scheduled to play the second leg of their series on Friday, and that looks to be on schedule for the time being.
The Celtics will look to stay hot as they’re currently on a four-game losing streak in addition to winning six of their last seven games while the Magic are on a three-game skid. No lines are available at this time for Friday’s game but be sure to head over to FanDuel for all your NBA action.
Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe reports that Jayson Tatum, Robert Williams, and Carsen Edwards are undergoing the NBA’s COVID-19 protocols.
