Hornets’ Cody Zeller won’t likely play vs. Warriors on Friday
The Charlotte Hornets will likely be without their starting center when they play at Golden State on Friday night. Cody Zeller was downgraded from questionable to doubtful for Charlotte’s third game of their seven-game west coast road trip. Charlotte beat the Warriors six days ago in their barn, where Zeller was a nonfactor scoring five points and pulling down five boards. The 2013 fourth overall pick is dealing with a hip issue and should be considered day-to-day if he can’t suit up.
Bismack Biyombo should be the player to benefit most from Zeller’s absence and will likely get the start if he can’t go. The Hornets backup comes dirt cheap at FanDuel DFS with a price tag of just $3500. He could be an affordable source of rebounds, blocks, and field goal percentage, especially facing a small team like the Warriors. PJ Washington, who carries a $5600 cost, could also get a boost above his 28 minutes per game season average.
