Kevin Durant will miss NBA All-Star Game and be Replaced by Domantas Sabonis
Kevin Durant has already missed six-straight and nine of the past ten Nets’ games and will now be out for the All-Star game. The initial thought was Durant would come back before the break but now that Brooklyn is on an eight-game win streak, their longest since 2006 there is no need to rush their superstar back. He underwent another routine MRI which determined he needs extra time to recover from his hamstring strain. His absence from basketball’s showcase event opens the door for Pacers’ forward Domantas Sabonis. The 24-year-old is having a career year with his best pro numbers in points scoring 21.5 per game and set the franchise records for consecutive double-doubles earlier this season.
